This course will be taught by Jacob Vanderkloet: a PhD student in Classics with a master’s degree in Greek and Roman Studies.
Jacob gave a talk on Homer as part of the first Symbolic Symposium at Clockworks Academy, and we’re delighted to have him back to teach a full course.
Homer’s Odyssey is, along with the Iliad, one of the two foundational epics of Greek myth and literature. Odysseus’s journey home after the Trojan War, in which he overcomes challenges from apathy to flesh-eating monsters, has captivated readers and listeners for millennia.
